How to clean and maintain corduroy clothes?

1. When washing, it is not advisable to scrub hard, it is not advisable to scrub with a washboard, and it is not advisable to scrub vigorously with a hard brush. It is better to scrub gently in the direction of the hair with a soft brush. ​
2. If there are oil stains on the clothes, you can remove the oil stains first, then soak them in laundry detergent for 5 to 10 minutes, and then wash them in a washing machine for 2 minutes or rub them gently by hand. After washing, do not unscrew it, but squeeze the water out of the clothes. This will not damage the pile, create creases or affect shine. If machine washing, put on a laundry bag, use the gentlest washing method, and be sure to add softener. The creases will be less obvious after spin drying. If the clothes are very expensive, it is recommended to wash them by hand. ​
3. When ironing corduroy clothes, do not press the iron directly on them, as this will overwhelm the fluff and produce aurora. It is best to choose a steam-jet iron, control the temperature at 180°C, and operate it gently back and forth. If the iron cannot spray air, you need to cover the clothes with spray-wet cotton. Do not wear corduroy clothes that have just been ironed immediately, otherwise they will easily deform. It is recommended not to iron if you don’t know how to operate it. ​
4. When collecting corduroy clothes, be careful not to put them under other clothes. If they are pressed for a long time, they will become linted and wrinkled. The best way is to hang them for storage.
